Consommé Rice
A perfect pairing for steak dinners and other hearty meals.
Serves 4-6 people.
2 cups of Uncle Ben’s white rice
2 cans of Campbell’s consummé beef broth (plus 2 empty soup cans of water)
3 dried bay leaves
6 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Handful of baby carrots or 1-2 peeled carrots
Fresh ground black pepper
2 tbsp butter
Sloppily chop the carrrots- they should not be diced but small enough to fit on a forkful of rice.
Place all ingredients in rice cooker.
Fill the two empty cans of soup with water and add them to the rice cooker.
Turn on the rice cooker. Fluff when done, making sure to scrape dark brown bits off the bottom of the pot and incorporate them in with the rice.
Serve and enjoy!
